Coffee table oak
Coffee table oak
Our range of oak coffee tables are all of European quality. This means that the oak wood comes from Europe. The standards for manufacturing oak within Europe are a lot stricter than outside Europe. Read more in our blog on oak. Furthermore, our oak coffee tables are solid, meaning it is oak through and through. The tops are not thickened but 4cm thick oak. You have the choice of a top with a straight edge or a top with a tree trunk edge, a tree trunk edge means that the natural undulation of the tree is maintained on the long sides of the table. This also means that each leaf is unique! We have 3 types of bases for the coffee tables, all of which are Dutch-made. So we have a steel X - U and A leg in the range. If you only want the top, you can also find it here.
Natural product
Coffee table oak is a natural product and will always work. By working we mean that the table can shrink or expand with temperature differences and humidity. This may cause cracks in the grain, giving the table character. By treating the oak coffee table, it can withstand a little more and the shrinking and expansion will be limited.
Treatment of an oak coffee table
Oak has an open grain, which means that moisture is easily absorbed into the surface. It is therefore important to treat the table to protect it from stains but also from the so-called working of the wood. We sell by far the most popular colour, namely transparent lacquer itself. If you want a different colour, this is of course also possible. Make sure the furniture is sanded and dust-free before applying the lacquer. With this varnish, the wood remains closest to its original oak colour.
Dining table oak
Of course, we also have matching oak dining tables to the coffee table. Here the range is even wider. This is mainly due to the various bases which make the choice enormous! View all our solid oak dining tables here .
